Why Did You Choose a Private College?
A recent survey asked why 40 Kalamazoo College students chose a private college and if they felt their decision to attend a private college (Kalamazoo College) was worth their time and money. The survey tried to answer if attending a private college was really worth the still increasing tuition, based on students overall satisfaction with the school. Based on a 1-10 scale, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, the average overall satisfaction of attending Kalamazoo College was 7.90. Based on the same scale, the average of a student's experience at Kalamazoo college is 7.02. The survey also found that on average, Kalamazoo College students applied to more schools (4.93) than the national average (3.7) and on average Kalamazoo College families make more annually ($117,931) than the national average ($46,400). Based on several variables, it was found that in general, students enrolled at Kalamazoo College feel that it is worth the time and money to attend a private school.
